Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. Amy Smart was born and raised in California, USA. Amy Smart started her modeling career in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as a actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for a small role in Starship Troopers. It was a hard time when she had to change from modeling to acting since the models werent usually considered to be good actors, and they were usually given smaller and inconsequential parts. But somehow Amy did not give up and stepped into bigger roles eventually starting with the show The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on more prominent role. Amy was recognized after more than 10 years of trying. She did some big films within the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role on The Shameless series.
