Paula Patton, an American actor and producer, is known for her roles as the lead in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action thriller) as well as Precious (a dramatic). While growing up living in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, Patton had many desires. Her mom was a film buff and instilled a passion for film in her young daughter too. Paula became involved in many co-curricular activities in school however she showed an interest in drama. She was a huge fan of acting with her friends and participated in the school's stage productions. She performed in numerous high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to take up acting as a profession. She was a student at an acting program at the University of Southern California for the Summer Program, and she loved the experience. The program gave her a three month project to create documentaries for PBS. After completing the project, she started becoming an assistant to the production team for television documentaries. Later, she was able to produce documentaries. Even though she loved the work she was doing, she yearned for acting roles. In the romantic comedy Hitch she starred in a minor part with Will Smith. Since then she has appeared in numerous film and television programs.
