Harry

Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British composer and performer, recognized as being a part of the group One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on the 1st of February 1994, and is the child of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, and with his three classmates, formed a musical group called White Eskimo. They won the 2009 Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. He always showed an interest in music. However, he wanted to become the next lawyer or physical therapist. For a while he worked for a short time in a bakeshop within his town and hoped to assist economically at home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's hit song Is not She Lovely. The group was then forced to disband due to the fact that they were selected. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he join of a brand new group, One Direction. The other band members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. During the competition the band sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group became one of the candidates to be the winner. They came third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell did not get the win in the contest. But Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
