Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer, and vocalist. Being a smart and beautiful actress, she serves as a role model for numerous Asian actors who are in Hollywood that want to be successful. After a series of initial appearances on popular TV shows, she achieved fame by joining the crew of the cult comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. In the wake of her success, she landed important part for her in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). She gave a stellar performance in the role of Japanese gangster O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. Around the same time she also played lead roles in some box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing famous characters from animated films such including Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on the small screen as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. The role she played in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland helped re-establish herself as an established actress. Liu selects her roles carefully so as to avoid being cast in an industry that is competitive. Though she's proud of her heritage, she does not let it limit her imagination.
